Rtxt

Female Aurat Limits – In Islam, you must be familiar with the name genitalia, what exactly is aurat?

Aurat is a part of the human body that must be closed from the eyes of others, especially from people who are not our mahram. Covering the genitals is obligatory for every Muslim, especially for a Muslim woman, as in the Qur’an Surah An-Nur: 31

Meaning: “Say to the believing women: “Let them hold their gaze and their private parts, and let them not reveal their adornments, except what is (usually) visible from them. And let them cover their breasts, and do not reveal their adornments except to their husbands, or their fathers, or the fathers of their husbands, or their sons, or the sons of their husbands, or their brothers, or their sons. -the sons of their brothers, or the sons of their sisters, or the women of Islam, or the slaves they have, or male servants who have no desire (of women) or children who do not understand about women’s genitals. And let them not beat their feet so that the jewels they hide may be known. And repent all of you to Allah, O you who believe, that you may be successful.

We need to know that covering aurat has many benefits, such as;

1. Will be protected from the sight of men or other disturbances,

2. Can cover the disgrace or deficiency in the body

3. Will be protected from the torment of hell fire

4. Can maintain personal health

Covering the genitals perfectly can also make worship more quality, because it has followed God’s commands which is one form of our love for God. Subhanahu wa ta’ala.

The following is a further explanation of the limits of female genitalia.

Limitation of a woman’s genitals when in front of her mahram

Mahram are all people who are forbidden to be married forever because of heredity, breastfeeding and marriage in Islamic law. A woman may reveal aurat to her mahram as can be seen when a woman is in the house, such as her head, hair, neck, arms and legs.

Limitation of women’s genitalia when in front of people who are not mahram

In Islam a woman is very glorified and one of the purposes of this command to cover her genitals is to protect a woman who is likened to the best jewelry in the world.

According to the scholars, all parts of a woman’s body are aurat that must be covered except for the face and the palms of the hands. As has been explained in the Qur’an Surah Al-Ahzab: 59

O Prophet say to your wives, your daughters and the wives of the believers: “Let them stretch out their veils all over their bodies.” That is so that they are easier to identify, therefore they are not disturbed. And Allah is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Limitation of women’s genitals when in front of women

Rasulullah sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said,

“It is not permissible for men to see the genitals of men and women to see the genitals of women. And, it is not permissible for a man to be with another man in one blanket and a woman with another woman in one blanket.” (HR Muslim).

A woman’s awrah which must be covered in front of women is the same as the aurat of a man in front of other men, namely the area between the navel to the knee.

The limits of a woman’s genitalia with other women can also be the same as those before her mahram, on the condition that it is safe and does not cause lust for those who see it.

Those are the limits of female genitalia that you need to know, and try to start following Allah’s commands so that you are safe in this world and the hereafter. As a Muslim, we must understand that Allah gave these rules to protect and protect us women.
