“Verily Allah and His angels pray for the Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam. O you who believe, pray for the prophet. Say hello to him.” (Surat al-Ahzab verse 56).

It is clear in the Qur’an that Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala commanded us to always pray to the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallamShalawat prophet has many virtues for those who practice it. In addition to getting a reward, the prophet’s shalawat can also erase sins and elevate the degree of people who are istiqamah to practice it as in the following hadith narrated by An-Nasa’i:

It means, “Whoever reads shalawat to me once, Allah will bless him ten times, remove ten sins, and raise his rank ten levels,” (HR An Nasa’i)

From ‘Amr bin ‘Auf bin Zaid al-Muzani radhiyallahu ‘anhuRasulullah sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said

“Whoever brings to life a sunnah from my sunnah, then put it into practice by humans, then he will get (reward) like the reward of those who practice it, without reducing their reward in the slightest.”

“Indeed, the Messenger of Allah has in you a good role model for you (ie) for those who hope for (the mercy of) Allah and (the coming of) the Day of Judgment and who remember Allah much.” (Surat al-Ahzab: 21)

We must continue the struggle of the Prophet by reviving the assemblies and enlivening the da’wah and also the symbols of Islam. It is the young generation who are expected to be able to continue the struggle of the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam and the scholars to continue to spread the teachings of Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala as did the Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam before.
