Mysterious flying objects seem to be having their moment in Washington. In January, the Pentagon was tasked with setting up a permanent office to investigate sightings of ‘unidentified aerial phenomena’, commonly known as UFOs. Then in May, Congress held its first public hearing on the subject in over 50 years.
